Our Programs
Landmarking - CVHS is currently offering a FREE custom curb landmark for all historic structures built before 1959.
There are no strings attached! Property owners get a package of goodies, including a certificate of participation;
research and rehab links; information on preservation benefits and incentives; and a full set of applications
for local, regional, state, and national designation.
Downtown Tour - Bill Stone guides visitors on a walking tour
of Covina's charming historic downtown area on the second Sunday of each month. Tours begin at 1:15PM at the Firehouse Jail
Museum behind City Hall.
Firehouse Jail Museum - Open every Sunday from 1-3PM. It is a wonderful community museum
that features a comprehensive collection of everything citrus. Original records from the Covina Citrus Association can be
found, meteorological records for the area, juicers, advertisements, production records, tax information and a rare collection
of original packing crate labels can be found in this unique museum.
Heritage House - Built in 1908 by the Nash family,
the Heritage House is a physcial snapshot of turn-of-the-century life in a small rural town. Formal teas are held here by
reservation. It is open on the fourth Sunday of each month and is located at the west side of Covina Park on Valencia Avenue.
